Custom 5-Star Niner RLT 9 RDO Gravel Bike Build
This Niner RLT does use the stock Force drivetrain, but with the power meter spindle upgrade. Instead of using the stock carbon wheels, we went with HEDs aluminum Emporia GA Pro wheel set. I’ve been riding these for a few years and they’ve been great wheel set and one of our go to aftermarket gravel wheelsets. We also used the Easton post, stem and the AX gravel bars with aeroish top bar.
Custom 3-Star Niner RLT 9 RDO Gravel Bike Build
This is a good example of tweaking a stock build to make it your own with only some minor part swaps. It started as a 3-Star Rival AXS build and with some HED wheels, Easton carbon bar, different tires and some standout bar tape.
Custom 5-Star Niner RLT 9 RDO Gravel Bike Build
This is a sweet ride and the only thing related to it being a 5-Star build is that it is built with a Sram Force build and carbon bars and post. That said, it’s really not configured the same. We used the 43/31 Wide groupset vs the stock 1 X groupset that comes on the 5-Star builds. We also build the wheels up using Chris King hubs with HED Belgium 32 spoke rims.
Pair of Custom Niner RLT 9 RDO Gravel Bikes
We call these a pair as they were build at the same time for 2 ladies that were sister-in-laws and getting bikes together. There husbands both have the Aluminum RLTs in 3 star builds and wanted their wives to get one as well. We had some parts kits for some builds and Niner was out of Aluminum frames at the moment and were were able to work out a sweet deal for them with the carbon frames and custom builds.
1 of the bikes is a Shimano build and the other is a Sram build.
