Build Overview
This is our new budget-friendly custom TIME ADHX 45 build, built from one of the remaining closeout frames prior to the UDH update. TIME typically pairs these frames with higher-end GRX or Force builds, but we wanted to create something more affordable without giving up the ride quality these frames are known for.
We built this one with a SRAM Rival XPLR 1×12 drivetrain, aluminum Boyd wheels, and an Easton cockpit. It’s a clean, functional build that lets someone get into a TIME frame at a price that often undercuts big-brand Rival builds right out of the box.
We built this one the same way we approach all our custom projects — start with what the rider wants, and then dial in the details.

Build Notes
Build Highlights
- Budget-minded build using a premium TIME ADHX 45 frameset
- Rival XPLR drivetrain keeps cost down but performance high
- Boyd alloy wheels give great durability and upgrade potential later
- White bar tape + blue paint scheme creates a clean, high-end look
This build came from the last batch of ADHX 45 closeout frames we secured before TIME transitioned to the UDH version. We wanted to create a gravel build that made sense for riders who love the look and ride quality of TIME but didn’t want to jump straight into a GRX or Force-level build.
The Rival XPLR drivetrain has been a solid option for these builds, especially for riders who want a reliable 1x without inflating the budget. Paired with an aluminum Boyd wheelset and Easton cockpit, it keeps the performance high but leaves room for future upgrades—carbon wheels, power meter cranks, or a different bar setup.
The white bar tape is something I’ve been having fun with lately. On these TIME frames with unique paint schemes, white tape really pops. Whether someone keeps it or switches to black or grey is up to them, but it definitely looks sharp on the floor.
We’ve built similar budget-friendly configurations on the Niner RLT frames, and this TIME comes in around the same price—often less than what you’d pay for a big-brand stock Rival build. The difference is you’re getting a TIME frame, and these things ride exceptionally well. I’ve been on the green one personally and continue to be impressed by how refined and responsive it feels.
If you’re local and want to check it out in person, swing by—these always draw attention on the floor.
