Cedar Creek Mountain Bike Trails are actually a shared used trail system with hikers. However, there is one dedicated downhill mountain bike flow trail within the Cedar Creek Trail System in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

This was the first stop along the way of a road trip to check out new trails systems. We left our shop in Shafer, MN Saturday afternoon and were on the trail in Ruidoso by noon on Sunday after driving through the night.
The trails were a shared use trail system with one dedicated bike only downhill flow trail (Smokey’s Revenge on Strava), which was super fun! It was a 5 ish mile downhill run that we went back up to do a second time. We struggled to carry our speed well and clear all of the doubles, but probably just needed some more practice. It’s on our list to stop and ride again the next time we pass through.
