Ride Notes
We usually get up to Detroit Mountain every year for the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series race. We enjoy the trails. They remind us of old school hand built mountain bike trails… Likely they are. The race course doesn’t seem to have much machine built stuff and we like old style singletrack. The trails can be ridden very fast, so racing them is challenging as you are riding the edge of your tire the entire time without bermed up corners to maintain your speed. You get to know your traction limits and brake modulation well. Otherwise, they are fun general trails to ride and worth stopping into ride if you are in the area or making a weekend out of it to check out a new trail system.
