2024
This was my (Steve) second trip up to Jackpot mountain bike trail and the 1st trip up for the rest of the crew. It will likely turn into an annual day trip for us, but next year we’ll try to hit it before the leaves come down. Most of the leaves were down and the trail was real slippery. I hit the deck hard in one section after getting a bit to comfortable with the slip and slide. We rode out together from Britton Peak Trailhead to the start of Jackpot and then Kyle, Reid and I split off from Lynn. She rode out a little of Jackpot and then did a couple laps of the shorter loop out of Britton Peak while the boys and I rode up to Lutsen and back.

2023
This was the first time riding Jackpot and Highclimber. I (Steve) made a solo day trip up late in the season to ride it after hearing from multiple people in the shop that it was a good ride. It really is a great ride. I started from Britton Peak Trailhead, turned around at Lutsen and then rode back. It really rides great both ways, but I think it’s more fun going south than north. It’s a bit of a drive for us on a day trip, but likely worth a yearly visit.
