Ride Notes
We’ve mostly ridden Mt Kato for the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series Races, but we’ve also been down there a few times just to ride. It’s a love hate kind of trail as it’s a ski hill and you have to climb a lot. The trails are good are good though and the downhill sections are fun. If you don’t like climbing, then it’s not for you. The singletrack is also mostly old style handbuilt trail with few berms vs your newer wide open machine built stuff you find and newer trail systems. We tend to like the old stuff ourselves with some exposed roots and narrower trail that you find at Mt Kato.
BTW, this is private property and there is a trail use fee to ride these trails.
Ride Videos
We don’t have any general ride videos, but here is Steve’s last race video from Mt Kato.
