Reid forgot his bike bag w/ shoes, helmet, glasses, glove, etc… They found some double sided pedals in the car with flat on one side clip on the other, but only had an 8mm pedal wrench vs the 15mm needed for the Garmin pedals he needed to remove. However, Kyle had some standard XT pedals on his bike that took the 8mm Allen wrench. The boys switched bikes so Reid could remove Kyles pedals and put on the double sided pedals and ride his street shoes on the flat side. Funny though as Reid was wearing crocs, so he had to wear Kyle’s tennis shoes. They got it sorted out and was able to both race!
