Ride Notes
It’s been a long time since riding here, but I road here a few times for fun and for a couple of mountain bike races back in the late 90s or early 2000s. I’m pretty sure this was one of the races where I crashed into some poison ivy. I was a mess with it. I remember losing my front end and then sliding down a hill through the weeds. I did at least one summer race here and then also did a winter race as well. This is long before fat bikes, but there wasn’t snow anyway. It was just cold and wet/muddy.
I remember a really tight switchback section that had a couple tricky ones to get around that were a bit rooty. I’m curious what they look like today. I feel like that section was not going to hold up long term. I bet it’s been heavily reworked by now.
